Released time religious instruction offers a legal pathway to reintroduce religious education during the public school day. Under the 1952 Supreme Court, Zorach v. Clauson, public school students are permitted to attend religious classes during school hours provided the program is off school property, privately funded and parent permitted.
The Released Time Resource Institute exists to provide legislators, school officials and community members the resources they need to expand released time opportunities nationwide.
The Released Time Resource Institute was created by LifeWise Academy and other like-minded nonprofits as a contribution to the broader released time community.
